For weeks now… What am I saying … For months now, I don’t drag my heavy SLR camera around with me, as I’ve done half my life every day…
Finally I took it today with me again… And of course, the batteries are dead… Who would have thought? …
Anyway, I was forced to use the iPhone as camera… And in bad lighting conditions it takes for sure very poor images… As most other cameras also do…
I realized, however, that the iPhone takes acceptable macros, andespecially loves the color red…
Definitely still functional repair shops of the former Berlin Anhalter Station…

Memory cards are one of the most often neglected parts of digital photography.But, they're extremely important because they're responsible for safely storing your photos until you get them to your computer.
So, it's important to take care of them properly.Here are a few tips for keeping them healthy:
1.Format new cards as soon as you get them
Many memory cards are advertised as ...pre-formatted and ...ready to use, but it's always a good idea to reformat the card again when you receive it, since some cameras have special requirements for the file system of memory cards.Formatting the card with the camera you'll be using it with will ensure that the card is in a format that the camera recognizes.
2.Never fill your cards completely
Most cameras have some kind of indicator on the LCD screen that tells you how many more photos you can shoot before filling the card.Keep an eye on this number and make sure you never get too close to filling the card, because if you happen to shoot a photo when the card is already full, there's a chance your camera will still try to write part of the photo to the card (and potentially triggering a write error).
3. Never let your batteries drain completely
It's also important to never let your batteries drain completely, because if your camera runs out of energy at the exact moment that it's trying to write a photo to the memory card, then there's a good chance that the camera will only write part of the file (which could corrupt the rest of the card).
4. Reformat your cards instead of deleting all the photos
Instead of deleting the photos on the card from your computer, always reformat the card from within the camera.This will ensure the card is in a format that the camera expects.
5.Use good quality memory cards
With all those camera bodies and lenses being so expensive, it's tempting to save some money by getting inexpensive off-brand memory cards.But, remember the importance of these cards:they're responsible for safely storing your photos.It's worth a few dollars more to ensure your photos arrive safely at your computer.

“Google60 — Search Mad Men Style” is an art project to explore distances and heroism in user interfaces.
The concept behind is that the distance, i.e.: the “world-factor”, inherent in a user interface adds a heroic dimension of a special kind to what would be else a mere tool. In other words: The more worldly and obstructive the interface, the more intense the user’s desires in front of the machine. (E.g., an image composed of block-graphics that is merely resembling the depicted object might well be more amazing than a photo-realistic representation in high-resolution.)
It was to have been the nuclear age, but it became the search engine age…
Why Google? The general idea is that a search engine provides a well known and focused approach for the user-interaction. And it’s fun too … Have fun and explore.

Bekannt wurde sie durch die Büste aus Kalkstein und Gips, die im Ägyptischen Museum im Nordflügel des Neuen Museums in Berlin ausgestellt ist…
Hier leider nur als Nachbildung, da es nicht erlaubt ist das Original im Neuen Museum zu photographieren… Ich hätte allerdings noch eine andere Abbildung anzubieten…

Echnaton war ein altägyptischer König (Pharao) der 18. Dynastie (Neues Reich) und Sohn von König Amenophis III. und Königin Teje… Er erhob den Gott Aton in Gestalt der Sonnenscheibe zum Gott über alle Götter Ägyptens und weihte ihm seine neue Hauptstadt Achet-Aton (Amarna)…
Die starke Position der Frau im alten Ägypten wurde unter Echnaton noch gesteigert… Nofretete als die Hauptfrau des Pharaos wurde zu einer Art Mitregentin gemacht und zumindest mit den pharaonischen Machtsymbolen ausgestattet…
Die meisten Ägyptologen bewerten Echnatons Religion als kurze Epoche des Henotheismus, der jedoch einen entscheidenden Einschnitt in den Polytheismus darstellte… Dieser Einschnitt wird als implizierter Monotheismus eingeschätzt, der jedoch noch nicht die vollständige Definition des späteren Monotheismus erfüllte…

In Saal 5 findet man Ausstellungsstücke aus dem Zeitraum vom Beginn der Eisenzeit bis zum Mittelalter, mit Funden aus der Hallstatt-Periode, gefolgt von Fundstücken aus der Zeit der Kelten, der Germanen und der Römer. Schließlich ist das Mittelalter durch die Ausstellung von Münzen, Kleidungsstücken, Waffen und anderen Gegenständen dokumentiert.

Der Schliemann-Saal (Saal 104) beherbergt heute Funde und Fundkopien aus der Sammlung trojanischer Altertümer von Heinrich Schliemann, insbesondere Teile aus dem weltbekannten sogenannten Schatz des Priamos.
Schliemann hatte diesen 1881 dem Deutschen Volke zu ewigem Besitze und ungetrennter Aufbewahrung in der Reichshauptstadt geschenkt (nachdem er ihn zuvor aus der Türkei an den Behörden vorbei geschmuggelt hatte), woraufhin Kaiser Wilhelm I. sich in einem persönlichen Brief an Schliemann bedankte und entschied, dass der Schatz des Priamos in dem damals gerade im Bau befindlichen Museum für Völkerkunde Berlin ständig ausgestellt werden solle, wo er von 1885 bis 1939 zu sehen war, und jetzt eben wieder…

Jahrhundert bis zu den tiefen Brüchen und den gelungenen Neuanfängen im 20. Jahrhundert gespannt… Alles drin…

Hier übrigens ist die Prinzessin Sophie Auguste Friederike von Anhalt-Zerbst-Dornburg zu sehen, die spätere Katharina die Große (eigentlich Katharina II), Kaiserin von Russland, Herzogin von Holstein-Gottorf und Herrin von Jever. Mit ihren anverlobten späteren Großfürst Peter III, der geschichtlich angesichts ihres Glanzes unter ferner liefen abzuhandeln ist… Ja, die Geschichte ist immer die Geschichte der Sieger und wird von ihnen aufgeschrieben…

Zum Glück waren wir gleich drin und mussten auch nicht die Eintrittspreise zahlen, das aber nur nebenbei… Der Museumsbesuch ist den Eintritt von 14,- € (ermäßigt 7,- €) sowieso wert, wobei bis 18 Jahre der Eintritt ohnehin kostenlos ist… Ich finde eine sehr gute Maßnahme, die auch die 14,- € völlig gerechtfertigt…
Übrigens gleich auf der rechten Seite von den Stühlen befindet sich das Restaurant und der Ägyptische Kebabdort ist ein Traum… Schmeckt wirklich original wie in Ägypten, nur besser… Unbedingt probieren…

Um nicht stundenlang in der Kälte nach den Tickets anstehen zu müssen hier ein kleiner Tipp von mir: Geht zuerst ins Alte Museum und besorgt euch dort die Tickets (im Zweifel mit einer früheren Uhrzeit durch den kleinen Umweg), ganz ohne Schlange. Dann müsst ihr erstens nicht in der Kälte stehen, und seid durch den kleinen Spaziergang perfekt zur richtigen Zeit am Eingang des Neuen Museums und müsst dort nicht nochmals in der Schlange auf den Einlass warten (wie all die Armen auf dem Photo, die sich gleich noch einmal anstellen dürfen). Der Einlass erfolgt nämlich halbstündlich, wobei die Uhrzeit auf dem Ticket aufgedruckt ist… Ihr aber, mit dem Ticket, das ihr im Alten Museum gekauft habt, lasst elegant die zweite Schlange links liegen und geht gleich rein…

“Im Licht von Amarna”… Aus Anlass des Auffindungsdatums der Büste der Nofretete am 6.12.1912 zeigt das Ägyptische Museum in Berlin eine groß angelegte Sonderaustellung zur Amarna-Zeit im Neuen Museum auf der Museumsinsel.

Es hat aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach etwas mit dem Überlebensinstinkt zu tun… So habe ich es mir zusammendeduziert…
Selbsterhaltung…
Sich als Einzelwesen, als Gruppe, als Art am Leben zu erhalten…
Jedenfalls habe ich heute den Sog gespürt, den Drang sensationslüstern gaffen zu wollen, ein bißchen näher zu kommen, einen Blick zu erhaschen, dem Tod ins Angesicht zu schauen…
Ganz egal wie erbärmlich, rational betrachtet, ich so ein Verhalten auch finde… Für einen Augenblick war der Trieb da…
Den hatten so ziemlich alle, die mitbekamen was da eigentlich gerade passiert ist… Ich wette auch der Polizist, dessen Aufgabe es war danach die Gaffer zurückzudrängen… Auch er hatte ganz sicher das starke Verlangen verspürt einen Blick da nach unten riskieren zu müssen, schon rein dienstlich gesehen, und so… Da nach unten, auf die Schienen, auf denen gerade ein Mensch gestorben war… Zwischen den S-Bahn-Waggons im Bahnhof Berlin Buch…
Ein sehr starker Trieb… Existenziell… Denn es betrifft auch die eigene Existenz, das Überleben der Gruppe, der Art… Irgendwie treibt es einen dazu sehen zu müssen, ob der andere Angehörige derselben Spezies, der Mensch, wirklich tot ist…
Die ganze Rationalität ist im Bruchteil einer Sekunde wie weggeblasen… Wenn man nur nahe genug am Geschehen ist, räumlich und zeitlich…
Die Gaffer sind wir alle… Vielleicht auch nur, um zu sehen, was man lieber nicht gesehen hätte… Aber das weiß man immer nur im Nachhinein, nachdem man einmal dem gewaltsamen Tod ins Auge geblickt hat…
Erklärungen gibt es nachher viele… Und auch viele Gedanken… Vielleicht ist man mutig und gibt vor sich selber zu, dass man neugierig war… Oder man ist feige, und felsenfest überzeugt, man hätte gar nicht gaffen wollen… Oder neutral, und glaubt tief im Inneren, dass man nur sicher sein wollte, dass derjenige wirklich tot ist, so wirklich wirklich tot, damit man ein Totengebet für ihn sprechen konnte, sofern man gläubig ist…
Aber eigentlich sind alle Erklärungen, alle Rechtfertigungen, die man sich selbst vorbringt, unwichtig… Denn der Sog, der Überlebensinstinkt ist da… Selbsterhaltung… Sich als Einzelwesen, als Gruppe, als Art am Leben zu erhalten…
Auch wenn man nur kurz einen Link klickt… Man hatte nicht gaffen wollen…

Doch sie tötet nur das, was einige Zeit danach auf dem Teller landet - Hühner, Enten, Gänse, Puten… Ein tagtägliches Geschäft… Das Geflügel wird dann auch gleich, auf einem Schemel hockend, in der Küche von den Federn geputzt… Und die Küche gleich hinterher… Denn es ist insgesamt doch eine ziemliche Sauerei…
Falls es ein Festessen werden soll, es also um die größeren Tiere geht wie Schafe, Ziegen oder Rinder, da wendet man sich an meinen Schwager… Um als Unbeteiligter dabei zuzuschauen, da braucht es schon ein wenig Mut… Deshalb gibt es dabei auch keine Zuschauer… Jeder muss mitmachen, der dabei steht…
Das Blut fließt, die Haut wird vom Fleisch abgelöst, indem ein Rohr dazwischen geschoben und reingepustet wird… Dann wird heftig abgeklopft, damit sich die äußere Hautschicht ablösen kann… Es wird enthäutet, entweidet, entbeint… Eine lange Prozedur… Von den Geräuschen und Gerüchen will ich gar nicht erstanfangen zu erzählen…
Aber ich empfehle euch daran zu denken, wenn ihr das nächste mal unterwegs in einen Cheeseburger für 0,99 Cent beißt…
Wenn jeder Mensch, auch nur ein einziges Mal in seinem Leben ein Tier eigenhändig töten (selbst aufgezogen oder erjagt), oder auch nur, warm wie es noch ist, ausnehmen müsste, um seinen Hunger zu stillen, dann wäre die Welt ein besserer Ort…

- Get a little closer. One of the biggest differences you can make is to get closer to the subject in your photo. Sometime we are caught up with getting the nice scenery behind them and our children get lost in the image.
- Look for different angles. One way to get more variety in your photos is to look for different angles instead of always taking them straight on.
- Try to engage your kids. Be silly, make funny faces, jump around, sing silly songs. They will be more likely to give you natural expressions and they will have more fun.
- Try distracting your kids. It can be hard to get young children to stay still for a photo. Try putting something on your head like reindeer antlers or put something on the top of your camera like a fuzzy sticker. You will get their attention and they most likely look straight at your camera.
- Natural is OK. We all have this notion that we want the perfect portrait of our children. Remember to capture the every day moments. The blank stares in space, the moody, sullen moments, the quiet moments, these are all memories that you will want to look back upon, not just the smiling picture perfect moments
- Know when to stop. If you are starting to get upset with your kids then its time to put the camera away and try again another day.
- Golden hour! The best time of day to take outdoor pictures is one hour after sunrise or one hour before sunset. The light is soft and pretty during those hours and the shadows are not as harsh. The next time you head to the beach, take your kids out for a nice walk one hour before sunset and bring your camera!
- Overcast days are the best! Whenever we have an overcast day I run and get my camera and head outdoors with the kids. The clouds create a diffuser over the sun and it softens the light and minimizes shadows. My favorite outdoor images have been taken on overcast days.
- Look for open shade. A great place is a porch, gazebo or under a tree. This will help your children from squinting.
- Back light. If you have to take pictures in bright open sun be sure to place the sun behind your child rather than putting the sun behind you. This will make a pretty halo of light behind your child and will also make them less likely to squint!

Getting your digital images perfectly sharp is something that most photographers want – however clean, crisp, sharp images can be difficult to achieve.
Perhaps before we start exploring how to improve sharpness it would be good to talk about the main causes for lack of sharpness:
- Poor Focus – the most obvious way to get images that are 'un-sharp' is through having them out of focus. This might be a result of focussing upon the wrong part of the image, being too close to your subject for the camera to focus, selecting an aperture that generates a very narrow depth of field or taking an image too quickly without checking it is in focus.
- Subject Movement- another type of 'blur' in shots is the result of your subject moving – this is generally related to shutter speed being too slow.
- Camera Shake – similarly you can get blur if you as the photographer generate movement while taking the image – this often relates to either shutter speed and/or the stillness of your camera.
- Noise – 'noisy' shots are ones that are pixelated and look like they have lots of little dots over them (get up close to your TV and you'll get the same impact).
Here's a list of 10 basic things to think about when shooting to get sharp images:
1. Hold your camera well

The Precinct of Amun-Re, located near Luxor, Egypt, is one of the four main temple enclosures that make up the immense Karnak Temple Complex.
The precinct is by far the largest of these and the only one that is open to the general public. The temple complex is dedicated to the principal god of the Theban Triad, Amun, in the form of Amun-Re.
The site occupies roughly 250 000 m, containing many structures and monuments.
Most of the southwest is an open-air-assembling area with millions of stone fragments, from small to huge, laid out in long rows, awaiting reassembly into their respective monuments.

Previously in the posing guide series articles we looked atposing female subjects,posing male subjects,posing childrenandposing couples. It is now time for posing groups of people.
There are usually three kinds of group shots. First are just formal shots with a large number of people. Second are more informal shots with a group of friends. And finally, photographing a group or family members. In this order, let's look at some sample poses and posing ideas.
1. When working with a large group of people you won't be able to control each individual's pose or expression. This is fine as long as you pay attention to the overall composition. Imagine the whole group to be a single object. Principally, make sure that all people in the group are visible.

You can use THINGLINK with tumblr! Which means, that you (and others, if you allow it) can comment directly in your pictures, similar as it is possible on flickr…
You just point a place in your picture, add a comment and everyone can see it… Really cool…
For this you just need to login with facebook or twitter at thinglink(it’s free),follow the instructions how to add thinglink to your tumblr account and voila, here it is…
Even when some tumblr themes are incompatible with thinglink (my theme is also not fully compatible), the most are… And it makes a lot of fun!…
You can try it out commenting on my picture here… It is a much easier way to communicate as the usual disqus, which I believe noone uses anymore…

In the previous articles in this posing guide series we looked individually at posing female subjects, posing male subjects and posing children. In those individual person portraits the main subject was a single person and her or his personality. In comparison, couple photography is more about connection, interaction and above all – feelings between two people. And most probably those are very deep and passionate feelings, which makes couple photography so delightful and positive.
Generally a couple should be easy to engage in a photo shoot. If they are initially a bit shy or feeling uncomfortable, just ask them to show you how they felt and looked when they met for the first time. You will invoke them on an emotional level, providing you with natural and loving expressions in their portraits.

After our previous articles onposing female subjectsandposing men, let's look at some starting points with photographing children. Little ones are definitely fun and very positive subjects to photograph! Getting those real and authentic emotions and showing through your pictures the joy of a childhood is a very warm and sincere feeling.
However dealing with kids sometimes can be quite challenging. You have to be ready that they often have their own thoughts on their mind and you need to be very patient and adapt to their natural behavior. Don't assume that they will listen carefully and follow your instructions exactly. That's why you most probably won't be able to use these samples as posing cheat sheet. Use them rather as a reference for ideas and different scenarios for you photo shoot.
There is nothing worse than a brilliant image of a fuzzy concept.

Men are usually less comfortable in process of being photographed than woman, so it's important to get him to be at ease with the process in order to get good results.
It is always a good idea to prepare before the photo shoot. Just one more peace of advice – involve your subject in the process! If you ever run out of ideas, get stuck in creativity or simply need some guidance when shooting female subjects (in opposite to male subjects), you may use following posing samples as a ...posing cheat sheet. Many pro photographers use such a technique when preparing for and during the photo shoot.
The poses in this article are selected as initial reference. I would advise to look at the poses together with your subject, especially if she's inexperienced. During a photo shoot don't hesitate to discuss with the subject which pose is or isn't working in any particular situation. Das Jahr ist so gut wie zu Ende und draußen knallt es schon ganz mächtig, obwohl uns noch mehr als 24 Stunden bis zum Jahreswechsel verbleiben… Und irgendwie werde ich wie jedes Jahr nicht das Gefühl los, dass besoffen sein und mit Sprengstoffen hantieren eine ziemlich ungesunde Mischung ist… Doch was soll’s!… Schließlich gilt nach wie vor: “survival of the fittest“… Genug aber von denen, die sich selbständig aus dem Genpool herauskatapultieren…
Der (vor)letzte Tag des Jahres ist wohl auch Zeit für Abrechnungen und so… Und ich sitze so, all by myself, und rechne ab… Da ich ein Dach über dem Kopf habe, einen Schrank voller Klamotten, ein Bett zum schlafen und Essen im Kühlschrank, geht es mir (und wahrscheinlich Euch allen, die Ihr es gerade lest), besser als 75% der gesamten Weltbevölkerung…
Da wir uns also glücklich schätzen können und absolutkeinen Grund zu meckern haben, sollten wir uns für das Neue Jahr 2012 unbedingt vornehmen: nicht zu vergessen zu lächeln!… Wir fangen am besten gleich damit an… Los… Cheese!…

Since there is Christmas everywhere already, I’ve decided to make now a checklist for my Christmas photos, because every year I end up with mingy 3 to 5 photos, although I take up every year to shoot a beautiful Christmas photo series…

Wenn der Herbst einbricht, dann beschließt die S-Bahn Berlin wie jedes Jahr, jeden zweiten Zug ausfallen zu lassen, und die übriggebliebenen mindestens 35 Minuten verspätet loszuschicken… Nichts Neues, aber jedes Jahr aufs Neue immer wieder ärgerlich…
Aber genug geplaudert… Die Tage im Herbst werden ja nicht länger… Eigentlich wollte ich einen Eyecandy empfehlen… Eine wunderbare Seite mit wunderschönen Photos (siehe und klicke Bild oben)…Ilovewischiwaschiist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert… Und jetzt ganz schnell klicken und staunen…

Ich wollte ein bisschen mehr über Photographie schreiben… Es gibt aber schon so viele Webseiten, die das Thema hervorragend behandeln (z.B.hier)… Außerdem kommt es am Ende sowieso nur aufs Üben, Üben und nochmals Üben an…
Man lernt seine eigene Kamera am besten kennen, indem man sich von Zeit zu Zeit die Bedienungsanleitung zu Gemüte führt und neue Einstellungen ausprobiert, an die man sich vorher nicht getraut hat…
Es gibt aber auch eine tolle Möglichkeit sein Können und Wissen an einemSpiegelreflex-Simulator, sozusagen “trocken” zu erproben, oder einiges zu lernen falls man Anfänger ist… Es lohnt sich wirklich es auszuprobieren…

As a former PR person, the importance of branding was always a topic I was harping on with clients – from individual authors to multi-million dollar corporations and non-profit agencies. How a business presents itself can be the difference between success and failure. Photographers are no exception to this rule. How you brand your business – from logo to business cards, website to social media pages, portfolio to promo piece – all affect a buyer's decision whether to work with you or not.
Let me caveat this entire series first with a contradiction. Branding is irrelevant in context to the quality of your images. No amount of money that you dump into amazing branding will make a difference if your images simply aren't where they need to be for a particular client. Your images always come first.
That being said, photography is an incredibly competitive industry, and there are many shooters out there with comparable levels of work. This is when branding comes into play to help give you the advantage over another photographer. A buttoned up package and production shows a client that you value every part of your business.
The first post in this four part branding series dives into logos, chronicling my own journey developing a new brand and highlighting other commercial and wedding photographers branding.
What's in a Logo?
It's hard to argue against the importance of a logo. In non-visual fields it's often what buyers first identify with in a brand. In the photo industry it plays second fiddle to your images, but it's still an important visual cue and tie-together for your clients.
A logo is best when it is a written or designed representation of the style of your work. Whether you're an edgy fashion, luxury travel, flirtatious lifestyle or classic wedding photographer your logo should have a distinct connection with your style. Think how silly it would feel for an edgy fashion photographer to have a Comic Sans font as their logo. Apply that same font type to the flirtatious lifestyle photographer, and it just may work.
Different font treatments and designs evoke a certain emotional response from us. I can't say I know the science behind it, but I'm sure you could easily point out a design that had a classy feel to one that had a whimsical feel without any training either. You don't have to be a typophile to know how a font makes you feel when you see it.
Logos can be as simple as your name in a certain font or as elaborate as a multi-font, multi-color, iconographic and artfully designed branding display. The choice is up to you, but generally you'll find logos vary a bit between the commercial and wedding industries. The reason for this is because different audiences prefer different styles. Commercial photographers usually have logos as simple as their name in a specific font, with perhaps a design element or two thrown in. Wedding photographers often vary from simple fonts to elaborate graphics and designs.
Check out this list of logo examples from both commercial and wedding photographers. Notice how their logos closely resemble the feel of their style of photography and come together to emphasize their brand.

Vintage Photographie Business Idee...

Seit längerem trage ich mich mit der Idee einen Vintage-Objekt-Verleih für Photographen, Filmproduktionen u.ä. zu gründen.
Ich kenne ein solches Projekt in Australien, doch auf dem deutschen Markt ist mir nichts vergleichbares bekannt.
Ich weiß allerdings, dass ich es aus zeitlichen Gründen niemals alleine schaffen würde, deshalb schwebt die Idee im Moment nur über meinem Kopf…
Gibt es jemanden in Berlin, der sich auf eine Partnerschaft mit mir bei der Realisierung dieses Projekts einlassen würde?…

Nur noch eine Woche, dann verabschiedet sich Google Reader in dieser Form, in der wir ihn kennen, und in der er uns gute Dienste leistet… Mir jedenfalls…
Dann wird man die Feeds über seinGoogle+ Accountverfolgen müssen. Ich gebe zu, dass ich es mir irgendwie nicht vorstellen kann…
Erst wurde YouTube an Google+ gekoppelt, nun auch der Google Reader…. Na dann sehen wir doch mal, ob ich mich immer noch freuen werde die ganzen Blogs in dem neuen Format zu lesen…
Ich hoffe, dass mir die Änderung nicht meine Freude am Anschauen toller Photos und am Lesen toller Beiträge nehmen wird, auch wenn ich es ganz für mich alleine tue, schon immer, und auch gar nicht vorhabe plötzlich alles mit allen zu teilen… Auch nicht, wenn ich alle, meine in langen Jahren gesammelten RSS-Feeds, nur noch über Google+ verfolgen kann…

I’m still staggered…
At the moment I have limited the automatic focus detection field at my camera to only one point, the quality of my photos has improved by several orders of magnitude.

- In Alabama ist es Autofahrern verboten, während der Fahrt eine Augenbinde zu tragen.
- Wer in Nevada ein Kamel auf einem Highway ausreitet, verstößt gegen das Gesetz.
- In Glendale/Arizona ist es ungesetzlich, mit einem Auto rückwärts zu fahren.
- Personen jenseits der 88 ist es in Idaho Falls verboten, Motorrad zu fahren.
- Piloten ist es in Arizona verboten, während des Fluges zu gurgeln.
- In der Stadt Cicero in Illinois ist es nicht erlaubt, sonntags auf öffentlichen Straßen zu pfeifen.
- In Alaska ist es illegal, von einem Flugzeug aus auf einen Elch herabzuschauen.
- Lautes Rülpsen ist auf dem Flughafengelände von Halstead in Kansas verboten.
- In Hartford, Connecticut ist es verboten, eine Straße im Handstand zu überqueren.
- Die Stadt Thomasville in North Carolina verbietet es Flugzeugen, an Sonntagen zwischen 11 und 13 Uhr, über das Stadtgebiet zu fliegen.
- Es ist in Tennessee illegal, aus einen fahrenden Auto heraus Jagd auf Wild zu machen. Aber keine Regel ohne Ausnahme: Auf Wale darf man trotzdem feuern (falls man ihnen begegnen sollte.)
- In Washington gibt es ein Gesetz, welches festlegt, dass nachts vor jedem Auto ein Mann mit einer roten Laterne hergehen muß.
- Die Stadt Devon in Connecticut verbietet es, nach Sonnenuntergang auf den Straßen rückwärts zu laufen.
- Radfahrer in Connecticut dürfen von der Polizei gestoppt werden, wenn sie schneller als 65 mph radeln.
- Gegen das Gesetz verstößt, wer in Delaware in einem Flugzeug schnarcht.
- Es ist verboten, im Flughafenbereich von Bicknell, Indiana Eiscreme mit einer Gabel zu essen.
- Die Stadt Cleveland in Ohio verbietet per Gesetz, ein Fahrzeug in Betrieb zu nehmen, wenn man dabei auf dem Schoß einer anderen Person sitzt.
- Es ist texanisches Gesetz, das, wenn sich zwei Züge an einem Bahnübergang begegnen, beide Züge halten müssen und die Fahrt nicht eher wieder fortsetzen dürfen, bis der andere passiert hat. [Mit dieser Regelung wollte ein Senator ein Gesetzeswerk ins Lächerliche ziehen und somit seine Verabschiedung verhindern. Aber seine Rechnung ging nicht auf - das Gesetz wurde in dieser Form rechtskräftig.]
- Vor etlichen Jahren wurde in Pennsylvania von der ‘Bäuerlichen Anti-Automobil-Gesellschaft’ folgendes Regelwerk aufgestellt: Bei einer Nachtfahrt über Landstraßen müssen alle Autofahrer jede Meile anhalten, eine Leuchtrakete abfeuern und 10 Minuten warten, damit die Straße geräumt werden kann. Wenn ein Fahrer eine Gruppe von Pferden sieht, muß er anhalten und sein Fahrzeug mit einer Decke abdecken, die farblich mit der Landschaft harmonisiert. Wenn sich ein Pferd weigert, das Auto zu passieren, muß der Fahrer sein Wagen von der Straße entfernen und in den Büschen verstecken.
- Ein Gesetz des Staates Kansas verlangt, dass alle Fußgänger, welche nachts einen Highway überqueren, ein Schlußlicht tragen müssen.
- In Kanada ist es verboten, ein Flugzeug während des Fluges zu verlassen. Außerdem ist es in Kanada strengstens verboten, ohne ‘lebenssicherndes Gerät’ aus einem Flugzeug zu springen.
- Ein anderes kanadisches Gesetz legt fest, dass zwei verschiedene Schiffe auf einem Gewässer nicht zur selben Zeit die selbe Position haben können.
- In Baldwin Park, Kalifornien verstößt das Fahrrad fahren in einem Swimmingpool gegen das Gesetz. [Dieses Gesetz wurde erlassen, weil entleerte Swimming-Pools häufig von BMX-Fahrern zu Trainingszwecken mißbraucht wurden.]
- In der Schweiz ist es gesetzlich verboten, eine Autotür zuzuknallen.
- In der UdSSR ist es gesetzlich verboten, in einem schmutzigen Auto zu fahren.
- In Oklahoma ist es gesetzlich untersagt, am Steuer eines Autos ein Comic zu lesen.
- In Milford, Massachusetts ist es verboten, durch Autofenster zu spähen.
- Einem alten russischen Gesetz zufolge muß ein Zug anhalten, wenn sich entlang der Trasse ein schlafender Mensch befindet und solange warten, bis dieser sein Nickerchen beendet hat.
- Einem Gesetz in Minneapolis, Minnesota zufolge dürfen Fahrzeugbesitzer, die in zweiter Reihe parken, zu Zwangsarbeit in einer Chain-Gang verurteilt werden.
- In Indiana ist es verboten, rückwärts in eine Parklücke zu fahren. [Dieses Gesetz ermöglicht es Polizisten, die Nummernschilder aller parkenden Fahrzeuge von der Straße aus zu kontrollieren.]
- In West Virginia ist es verboten, in einem Zug ein Nickerchen zu halten.
- Im kanadischen Jasper Gates ist es Autofahrern bei Strafe verboten, schneller als ein Pferd oder eine Kutsche zu fahren.
- Britischen Taxifahrern ist es auf allen öffentlichen Straßen verboten, ihr Fahrzeug zu verlassen. Sollte ein natürliches Bedürfnis das jedoch erfordern, so dürfen sie laut Gesetz gegen das Heck ihres Fahrzeuges urinieren, solange sich dabei eine Hand am Fahrzeug befindet.
- In Deutschland verbietet 50 der StVO (Strassenverkehrsordnung) u.a. das Radfahren auf der Insel Helgoland.
- Jeder Londoner Taxifahrer ist per Gesetz dazu verpflichtet, im Heck seines Fahrzeuges einen Heuballen aufzubewahren. [Als dieses Gesetz verabschiedet wurde, wurden die Londoner Droschken noch von Pferden gezogen. Bis heute wurde es noch nicht zurückgenommen.]
- Ein Gesetz des Staates Illinois schreibt vor, dass die Polizei informiert werden muss, wenn ein Autofahrer beabsichtigt, mit seinem Fahrzeug in eine Stadt zu fahren.
- In Denver/Colorado ist es verboten, an Sonntagen schwarz lackierte Autos zu fahren.
- In New Britain/Connecticut dürfen Feuerwehrfahrzeuge selbst während eines Einsatzes nicht schneller als 25 Meilen fahren.
- In Großbritannien sind ausgestellte Strafmandate wegen falschen Parkens nur dann gültig, wenn der Parküberwacher bei der Knöllchenerteilung eine Uniformmütze trägt. [Strafmandate dürfen in Großbritannien nur von Parküberwachern ausgestellt werden, die Uniform tragen. Dazu gehört auch die Mütze. Diese darf zwar bei großer Hitze abgenommen werden, muß aber beim Ausschreiben des Knöllchens wieder auf dem Kopf sein. 2002 klagte ein Autofahrer aus Brighton, weil er beobachtete, wie eine Politesse ohne Mütze ein Knöllchen an seine Windschutzscheibe heftete.]
- Autobesitzern in San Franzisco ist es strengstens verboten, ihr Gefährt mit gebrauchter Unterwäsche zu polieren.
- Laut einer Verordnung der Stadt Milwaukee in Wisconsin darf auf keiner Straße länger als zwei Stunden geparkt werden, wenn kein Pferd an der Stoßstange festgebunden wird.
- In der chinesischen Stadt Kanton ist Fahrradfahren verboten, Autofahren hingegen ist erlaubt. [Es gibt in Kanton nur wenige Autos, aber Millionen von Fahrrädern]

DON’T post suggestive/provocative pictures of yourself or anyone else- especially children, online. In my own mind, I imagine that each picture I share online is a poster in a crowded subway station. Would I still post it?
DO keep in mind that the way you see your photos and the way others see your photos may not be the same. That photo you have of your little one in the bathtub or on the beach may be the most adorable thing you or I have ever seen, but to the wrong person it could be pornography. Be discerning and use caution.
DON’T forget that what you share is most likely permanent. If you do choose to post that picture of your little one’s tushy, just remember that the same little tushy will be a big tushy one day. We want that tushy to be able to run for congress…or at least go to high school without getting stuffed in a locker.
DO take a closer look at your photos before sharing them. Is your house number on the mailbox behind your little sweetie as he or she is getting on the bus in that first day of school photo? Is your address on the envelope next to the bouquet of flowers you photographed? I know that sounds a little James Bond, but just be aware and be careful.
DON’T share personal information. That sounds strange because we often share personal things on our blogs, but I mean things like your address, what school your children attend, where you will be (and won’t be) at certain times, ages, birth dates, last names…things like that.
DO be aware of what photo editing software can do. If you have posted pictures of your children online, it is possible that those images have been taken and photoshopped in a manner that makes them child pornography. In other words, cyber predators can take that sweet photo of your little one in the bathtub and Photoshop themselves right on in there with them. One of my best friends is a social worker and opened my eyes to this practice. I seriously felt sick to my stomach and lost a lot of sleep after that conversation. Don’t freak out like I did. Just be aware.
DON’T be afraid to speak up if someone is posting something you think could be dangerous to themselves or their children. Just keep in mind that this is a very sensitive subject and should be handled carefully and tactfully. Don’t go overboard, but do be a responsible advocate for the safety of children and others.
DO err on the side of caution when it comes to deciding what to share online. I’m not saying you should parade your children around with blankets over their heads a’ la the late Michael Jackson. I’m just saying we should all exercise common sense and be protective of our own children and children in general. I don’t want to start any wars in Blog Land, but I say, when it comes to something this important, sometimes you’ve got to be the girl who cried spinach in your teeth.

Ich höre die Wellen schlagen, ich sehe die Sterne über dem Strohdach der Husha, ich fühle den immer noch heißen Sand… Und die Ruhe, die unendliche Ruhe dieses biblischen Ortes erfüllt mich…
Diese paar Sekunden in meiner Vorstellung sind besser als eine Woche Urlaub…

Ist der Hut, den der Junge in seiner Hand trägt Kleidung oder Verkleidung? Will er einfach einen Hut tragen, oder ist es eher eine Idee des Erwachsenseins, die ihn dazu bewog den Hut überhaupt erst zu kaufen? Und wenn er ihn dann auf dem Kopf trägt, fühlt er sich bekleidet, vollständig, nicht nackt, oder eher verkleidet, verändert, cool? Was ist es überhaupt, das die Nerd-Brille auf der Nase des einen ihn zum Hipster und den anderen zum Freak macht?

Ein Schüler, vielleicht ist er 11 oder 12… Mit einem Kastenrucksack auf dem Rücken, wie ihn sonst nur die Kleineren tragen… Der Junge ist nicht besonders groß, er kann gerade über den orangenen Bushaltestellenmülleimer schauen, nebem welchem er steht… Einem geübten Auge fällt auf, dass er sauberer aussieht als die anderen Jungs in seinem Alter… Sogar sein alter Schulranzen sieht bei manchen Kindern nach wenigen Wochen schon schmutziger aus als es seiner ist, obwohl er ihn wohl schon länger auf dem Rücken zu tragen scheint…
Er wirft ein Stück Papier in den Mülleimer, der ihn plötzlich zu interessieren scheint… Er schaut in den Abfalleimer hinein… Dann plötzlich zieht er blitzschnell aus der Seitentasche seines Schulranzens ein paar graue Baumwollhandschuhe und zieht sie sich über - ein gut geführter, oft geübter Handgriff… Die anderen Menschen an der Bushaltestelle an diesem Morgen versuchen verschämt nicht hinzusehen… Er aber greift eine Plastik-Pfandflasche aus dem Abfall, sucht nach dem Pfandflaschensiegel und steckt die Flasche in Bruchteilen einer Sekunde in die andere Seitentasche des Schulranzens… Auch dieser Handgriff sitzt… Er streift die Handschuhe ab, verstaut sie wieder im Ranzen und steigt in den gerade an der Haltestelle angekommenen Bus hinein…
Wieder eine Sorge weniger, denkt er sich… Noch 3 Pfandflaschen und er hat sich sein bescheidenes Frühstück heute wieder verdient… Der Tag ist noch jung und der Weg zur Schule weit… Die Menschen, die mit ihm an der Bushaltestelle gewartet haben, steigen mit ihm in den Bus ein… Sie haben nichts gesehen…
Was sagt das Herz, was spricht’s, wenn alles um dich rum zusammenbricht?… Du schlägst doch immer noch, mein Herz… Schlägst du?… So sprich!…

Januar 2011[1]) und nimmt eine Fläche von 400,9 km ein. Bis zur Verwaltungsreform im Jahr 2007 war sie sowohl Sitz der Ringkøbing Kommune als auch der Amtskommune Ringkjøbing.
Archäologische Funde deuten darauf hin, dass die Stadt im 13. Jahrhundert entstand. Damals war Ringkøbing durch seine Lage am gleichnamigen Fjord der einzige wirkliche Hafen an der dänischen Nordseeküste, da der Limfjord noch vom Meer abgetrennt war.
Seit dem 17. Jahrhundert allerdings wanderte die Einfahrt in den Ringkøbing-Fjord durch Wind und Meeresströmungen nach Süden und die Stadt verlor ihre Bedeutung als Hafen. Erst mit der Schaffung des Kanals von Hvide Sande wurde die Verbindung zum offenen Meer wieder hergestellt.
Im Zentrum von Ringkøbing findet man reizvolle alte Gassen, die vom Marktplatz aus überwiegend in Richtung Wasser führen.
Sehenswert sind das Ringkøbing-Skjern Museum und die Kirche aus dem 14. Jahrhundert, deren Turm oben breiter ist als unten, mit einem Altarbild des Künstlers Arne Haugen Sørensen, und einer nur zum Teil noch erhaltenen Orgel aus dem 17. Jahrhundert.
Im 2. Weltkrieg wurde die Stadt mit einem Panzergraben, sowie Panzersperren umgeben. Zudem wurden rund um den Ort Betonpfähle mit Eisenspitzen auf den Feldern eingegraben, um feindliche Flieger an der Landung zu hindern und in der gesamten Stadt wurden diverse Bunker errichtet.[2] Es sollte somit eine alliierte Invasion im Bereich Søndervig, im Zusammenspiel mit den dortigen Befestigungsanlagen, verhindert werden.

Vor längerer Zeit habe ich beschlossen nichts, aber auch gar nichts persönliches mehr im Internet zu schreiben…
Ich ertappe mich allerdings immer wieder dabei, dass ich selbst gerne persönliche Blogs lese, am liebsten solche, die es irgendwie schaffen persönlich zu sein, ohne den Verfasser in irgendeiner Weise bloßzustellen - gleichzeitig sehr persönlich und allgemeingültig…
Ähnliches versuche ich ja auch mit meinen Bildern… Wieso es also mit dem schriftlichen Bloggen nicht doch nochmal überdenken… Vielleicht…
Ist es noch Sommer oder ist es schon Herbst?… Wird an den innereuropäischen Grenzen wieder kontrolliert?… Warum brennt es in London?… Warum regnet es so viel?… Wann kann ich hier wieder essen?… Warum sieht man in Dänemark so wenige Menschen auf der Straße?… Warum kostet hier eine Tüte Chips 7€ ?…

Familiarity – Shoot in locations you know well. This will keep you calm and relaxed and remove the element of not being familiar with your surroundings… To be even more controlled, when possible try even to shoot at the same time of day, so that you’re familiar with the light conditions… Breathe – If you start feeling frantic and out of control, take a breather… Put your camera down, shake it out and calculate your next shot… Resist – Mostly when you resist the impulse to just “grab” this certain shot and actually more “handcraft” the portrait you’re after, you’ll feel far more deeply satisfied with the end result. Because no matter how magical the “grabbed” shots may ever have been, you’ll always know that you didn'tmakethose photos, you merely captured them… Challenge – Set yourself a challenge… Plan a shot… Go out and take it… Don't shoot anything else… Dedicate the session to taking that one perfect shot and once you think you've got it, go home and revel in the beauty of what you've accomplished… You'll get addicted, promise! And next time, try two ideas and then three…
